Processing in Lightroom is what I generally do as Snapseed on the phone is a bit of a pain. I use the ProShot app and often take a bracket of three shots. Snapseed will process the raw(dng) from my S7 so I imagine it will be so for yours. But I take a lot of bird pictures with my Nikon gear, and the phone's camera won't do for that. Raw2dng works fine the other way - if I take a raw photo on my phone I can use it to convert to DNG for processing in Snapeed or transferring to my laptop. What i was hoping for is a way of getting the raw files onto my phone for subsequent processing. Usually I transfer the raw files to my laptop using an SD card reader, then process them in Lightroom and sometimes Topaz AI Clear.

(I've had Photo Mate for a couple of years and use it, and for difficult lighting it can make a big difference to use full information from a lossless file rather than the camera's compressed and stripped out JPEG.) Snapseed doesn't have the option to adjust Whites and Blacks in a photo while Lightroom offer full set of basic editing features even without subscription.Curious if using the camera JPEG is just "good enough" for your purposes, or if you tried and disliked the Raw2DNG or similar apps.Better Selective Editing option - Brush, Gradient, Radial tools.Optics support - Lens Profile Corrections, Chromatic Aberration Correction.Photos Syncing - if you have subscription, you can sync your photos to the cloud and use/edit them on desktop as well as on mobile.

So Which is the best Photo Editing App available for Android Mobile ? I would say Lightroom Mobile is far ahead of Snapseed at this moment. However, most features on the LrMobile are available to use without any subscription, only Advanced Pro features like Healing, Perspective Correction, Selective adjustments etc are restricted to use. While Snapseed is completely free, Lightroom Mobile is subscription based. Lightroom Mobile on the other hand has seen numerous software updates and are actively developed.

Google hasn't cared to update this app for an almost an year now ( as of this writing ).

Snapseed, even though owned by Google, wasn't developed by them. Out of all those numerous apps, there are two mobile apps that every Instagram / Social Media user is aware of and uses often for their needs - Adobe Lightroom Mobile and Snapseed. Some are Paid while some are completely Free to use. There are a lot of Photo Editing Apps available online on Google Play Store.
